Shopping November 7th, 2008You can have a great time at the flea market with the right planning. Start out with the right attire for the day. Avoid the inconvenience of carrying around the things you purchased by bringing along a bag or a trolley. This will make the job easier for you.
You will have to end the day early if you have tired feet due to unsuitable walking shoes. If you get tired walking it would be wise to walk to the very end of the vendors first and then work your way forward. The crowd is thinner at the back which provides easy access to items to be purchased. In some locations flea markets are offered on weekends but in areas where the demand is high, we find flea markets even on weekdays. It is natural for the number of vendors to get less as buying activity dies down during the week. Getting the best price deal is always a roll of the dice at flea markets. This is a place where bargains and haggling are expected.

If you want the best stuff, arrive early. If you already know which goods you want to get, this is the best way to do it. Yet many people claim they have a harder time getting the seller to negotiate the prices when they purchase early in the morning.
In the evening, the picture changes dramatically, as vendors become highly anxious to dispose off the good they have, even at lower prices. Most vendors would prefer going home carrying as little merchandise as possible. If you have a particular item in mind and you can wait until the end of the day you will get a better price. Do not do this if you need the item hard enough, you could lose it to some one else.
You can always find a way to negotiate better prices. Ask the vendor directly the lowest possible price they would accept,Ask the lowest price possible and see if you can agree with that. Mention a price and see if they are willing to accept it. This is a very effective way to close any deal!
